Meetupcall expands to the UAE with its conference call service
Meetupcall have announced the opening of a new office located in Dubia, UAE. According to the CEO, Simon Moxon, the conference call provider has set up a new office over there to connect directly with the local business community, that’s made up of many expats.
Mr Moxon said, “It’s an interesting place in terms of it being a primarily ex-pat community from all over the world. Obviously we’re looking for Arabic speakers.” Having staff out there will also help the business “understand the market” and some of the “unique challenges” it presents better, Mr Moxon said.
He added: “The one thing that we’ve seen out there is that even though Dubai is a huge city it is very much a community. “While we are focused on driving traffic to our website over here in the UK. I think there will be a bit more of a face-to-face approach with the clients out there.”
As we’ve mentioned in the past, companies and individuals that have made use of Skype and other likewise internet based voice comms. had issues connecting due to UAE clamp down on such providers, so perhaps Meetupcall, and like others we list in our directory, are better suited to connecting UAE with the world.
