Can You Hear Me Now?
What a difference a year makes. Before the pandemic kicked in, many of us were desperate to work from home. The thought of yet another day getting up early, the commute and sitting in a fluorescently lit office was far from ideal.
Then of course, for nearly 6 months, we were told to stay in the house 24/7, unless out for essentials – one hour of exercise, and perhaps some shopping. Forget the bog roll though, that’s long gone. Ha, those were the days!
Now, with many of us back working from the office, we are more than ever re-invigorated about working amongst people! Actual people! But alas, like most of the country is now finding out, lockdown part deux is already upon many of us, if by a separate name of “local lockdown”… we shudder at the thought of poor quality internet connections making web based conference calls horrendous, not to even mention trying video calls, that sups up even more bandwidth.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t stop at just bandwidth issues, you could be making use of a conference call provider that’s below par in terms of functionality and service, then, on top of that, you’ve got the people that are horrendous at communicating, which comes across even more dreadful than in real life as you have nothing other than your voice to put your point across.
